Myasthenia Gravis Disorders

Myasthenia Gravis disorders happen when you start getting older. However, it can affect both males and females of any age group. In Myasthenia Gravis, communication between the muscles and the nerve cells gets lapsed. It happens due to certain antibodies secreted by immune cells that attack neuromuscular junction.

Even malfunctioning of the thymus gland can also result in Myasthenia Gravis. The most common symptoms that trigger the problem are drooping eyelids, weak eye muscles, along with excessive weakness in the muscles.

However, Dr. Rakesh has already cured several patients' problems related to Myasthenia Gravis. Our doctors will diagnose the problem by going for a blood test followed by Electromyography. Once done, the doctor may go for several prescriptions including Pyridostigmine or corticosteroid. If there is a thymoma, the doctor may go for surgery to remove the thymus gland to prevent it from spreading.
